The company said the first pasteurised yogurt in Vietnam was to meet increasing demand for pure home-made yogurt in this market.
The new Dutch Lady product for daily use suits tastes of both adults and children.
The yogurt is made of fresh milk by natural fermentation so it contains lots of nutrients, calcium, protein and other substances good for muscles, teeth and bones.
Mark Boot, managing director of FrieslandCampina Vietnam, said FrieslandCampina Group had launched a wide selection of pasteurised yogurt products in many big markets and these products were well received by local consumers.
The company believed Vietnamese consumers would favor the new yogurt which can be kept longer for use than other normal yogurt products.
The Dutch Lady pasteurised products are available at supermarkets retail and wholesale outlet today at VND5,750 (27 US cents) per box of sweetened yogurt and VND6,250 (29 US cents) for strawberry yogurt.
