Vietnam willing to facilitate Japanese investors: President Sang

The Vietnamese government always gives facilitation to foreign investors, including those from Japan, to conduct their long-term investment in Vietnam, President Truong Tan Sang has said.

The Vietnamese state leader made the affirmation at his meeting with visiting Governor of Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture Kuroiwa Yuji in Hanoi on Friday, according to the Vietnam News Agency.

President Sang highly valued the cooperation between Kanagawa and Vietnamese localities, adding that Japanese investors from Kanagawa Prefecture are successfully developing their projects in the Southeast Asian country.

He expressed his hope that the Japanese government will continue providing financial and experience assistance for Vietnam’s industrialization and modernization efforts.

Governor Yuji Kuroiwa briefed President Sang about his working visit to the Thang Long 2 Industrial Park in the northern Vietnamese province of Hung Yen, saying that the large scale of the park is appropriate for manufacturing precision equipments and machines.

The Japanese governor also highly appreciated the Vietnam Festival in Kanagawa, which took place on the occasion of Party Secretary General Nguyen Phu Trong’s visit to Japan in September, added that the cultural event is very impressive to Japanese people.

On the same day, Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also had talks with Governor Kanagawa, during which Minh highly spoke of the role and efforts made by the Japanese official in strengthening comprehensive ties between the two countries.

The Japanese guest said his visit to Vietnam aims to encourage Kanagawa’s businesses to invest in industrial parks in Hung Yen based a memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides.
