Today, Toyota Motor Vietnam officially introduced the Toyota Classics 2011, which will take place in Ho Chi Minh City Theatre on November 3.

This is the 14th Toyota Classics held in Vietnam by Toyota Motor Corporation and Toyota Motor Vietnam in cooperation with Vietnam Performing Arts Centre under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Department of Performing Arts, since its debut in 1997. All the money earned from selling tickets will be used as Toyota scholarships for Vietnamese young musical talents.

This year, Toyota presents the welcome return of the Northeast German Philharmonic Orchestra to perform exciting new arrangements with the unique touch of Pamela Nicholson, Vasko Vassilev, and Vietnamese young talented soprano Pham Thi Duyen Huyen.

“Toyota Classics is a valuable opportunity for Toyota Motor Vietnam to contribute more to the society. All proceeds of 13 previous Toyota Classics concerts were granted to support cultural, educational and charity activities in Vietnam,” said Dang Phan Thu Huong, vice president of Toyota Motor Vietnam.

During 16 years’ operations in Vietnam, Toyota has contributed more than $1.8 billion to the state budget and $14 million to corporate social responsibility activities in such areas as culture, sports, education, traffic safety and environmental protection.
