Spain vows to help HCMC build metro route
Spain will provide 500 million euro for Ho Chi Minh City to build its metro route No. 5, said a Spanish official.

Jose Carlos Garcia de Quevedo Ruiz, head of the Trade and Investment Department under the Spanish Ministry of Industry, made the commitment at a recent meeting with Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Tai.
In addition to investment capital, he added that Spain would provide technical assistance, and management experience for the city as well as seek other partners who wanted to invest in the city’s metro system.
