SBI Holdings to acquire 35 per cent of FPT Smart Cloud Japan

Upon completion of the deal, SBI Holdings will contribute to FPT’s initiatives to foster AI innovation in Japan, especially Generative AI with FPT AI Factory. The contract is expected to be fulfilled by the end of January next year.

Research indicates that the global GenAI market will be worth $130 billion for this year and reach $1.3 trillion annually by 2032. In Japan, the AI market value is rising to $5.9 billion this year with a growth rate of more than 31 per cent, according to IDC. This enormous market potential offers an opportunity for FPT Smart Cloud Japan to cultivate its AI research and development capabilities, enabling Japanese businesses and organisations to create a quantum leap in operation efficiency.

FPT Corporation launched AI Factory in November when it established FPT Smart Cloud Japan to develop a comprehensive ecosystem of products and services fuelled by AI and cloud technologies.
