The construction of the 43.5km Nghi Son-Dien Chau section linking Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces will have a capital value of VND7.29 trillion ($316.96 million) provided by the government. It is expected to be finished in 2023.
The construction is divided into four contract packages, three of which have already been awarded to contractors.
The first contract package, valued at VND1.1 trillion ($47.83 million), is implemented by a joint venture of Son Hai Group Co., Ltd. and DEOCA Group. The construction is expected to complete within 24 months.
Project Management Board No.6 is appraising the dossiers and will submit its proposal to the Ministry of Transport to select the contractor for the second package.
The joint venture of CIENCO4, Tan Nam Construction JSC, and Truong Son Investment Construction JSC will implement the third package worth VND1.26 trillion ($54.8 million) and the fourth package with the value of VND1.14 trillion ($49.57 million).
According to a report by Project Management Board No.6, at present, land clearance has been completed for 40km of the total 43.5km length of the section, equaling 92 per cent. Regarding the total area of the project, 365.7 of the 392.1 hectares have been cleared, equalling 93.2 per cent.
