The total number of items distributed in Metro An Phu has also surpassed 25,000 articles.
With 1,200sq.m of ultra-fresh area, Metro An Phu is by far the largest in modern trade nationwide with a strong focus on quality, food safety and controlled sourcing.
“We decided to upgrade our distribution centres in response to increasing needs from our customers,” said Metro Cash & Carry Vietnam’s managing director Philippe Baccac “With a broad range of products and services customised to specific demands of professional customers, we will continue to provide our customers with a unique one-stop shopping experience and help the customers find everything under one roof.”
Beside Metro An Phu, Metro Cash & Carry Vietnam has also renovated other outlets across the country.
Each outlet will have two independent information desks at the food and non-food areas to quickly respond to customers’ inquires and to give them adequate support.
Vietnamese goods distributed in these centres account for 95 per cent of the total products.
“I believe that a clear customer orientation, proven competence in assortment and services will strengthen our position as a reliable partner for professionals,” said Baccac.
On this occasion, the company also launches a special sales promotion month lasting from August 29 to end of September 25 in cooperation with producers and suppliers to share difficulties with loyal customers in the context of continuing economic hardships.
More than 1,600 products in food and non-food groups will feature price discounts from 5 to 49 per cent.
The programme takes place in Metro Cash & Carry outlets across the country.
Metro Cash & Carry opened its first wholesale centre in Vietnam in 2002 as a pioneer among international companies.
Today Metro Cash & Carry Vietnam has 4,000 employees and operates 19 outlets across Vietnam.
The firm serves around one million professional customers in Vietnam.
