The company's efforts encompass the provision of feed, breeding, and farm disinfectants, with a total budget exceeding VND4 billion ($166,666).

On September 28, during a conference held to help areas hit by the typhoon organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Japfa Vietnam donated 10,000 chicks and 10 tonnes of animal feed. These chicks had been vaccinated and provided with feed specifically formulated for their growth. The programme aims to assist farmers in restocking their livestock ahead of the Lunar New Year, contributing to stabilising their incomes following a challenging period.

Identifying that collaboration with customers is essential, Japfa Vietnam took proactive measures before the typhoon's landfall by offering guidance on protecting assets and personnel, and allocating resources to provide timely support for farmers. Specifically, the company’s staff worked alongside customers to relocate livestock and equipment to safe areas, reinforce barns, and conduct damage assessments, enabling the swift development of support plans.

In response to the significant impacts on contract farms, Japfa has paid nearly 70 chicken farms in Hanoi, Hai Duong, Haiphong, Thai Nguyen, and Yen Bai VND3.5 billion ($135,833). Furthermore, the company has worked closely with local authorities to assess the conditions and provide expert advice on measures to ensure a disease-free breeding environment prior to the new batches of livestock.

Japfa's effective and practical solutions have garnered high praise from its customers. Luong Dang Khu, the owner of a chicken farm in Haiphong, recounted the challenges faced by his family after losing over 5,000 chickens and many feed bags due to flooding. “Fortunately, Japfa paid for the lost chickens and feed, significantly alleviating our financial burden. The company's staff also assisted in relocating the remaining chickens to a safe area,” he shared. Khu and Japfa's technical team have successfully cleaned and sterilised barns in preparation for the new chickens. “The company's quick and dedicated support has given greater confidence and motivation to my family to continue in livestock farming during this challenging period,” he remarked.

Moreover, Japfa Vietnam plans to donate 10,000 litres of disinfectant to livestock customers. This started at the beginning of October, and aims to minimise the risk of disease and safeguard the health of livestock. Additionally, the company is continuing to offer valuable guidance on water source treatment and technical instructions on barn sanitation to assist farmers.

With a commitment to investing in businesses associated with social responsibility, Japfa Vietnam emphasises the development of products derived from refined raw materials and operates a safe farming system to promote animal health. The company leverages advanced technology and optimises resources to enhance the prosperity of its partners, customers, and the community, all while striving for sustainable development within the agricultural sector.
