“Vietnam is one of the more complex jurisdictions within Asia to do business,” said Nguyen Hung Thao, head of EY Law in Vietnam at last week’s launch ceremony. “Each of our legal professionals has worked in private practice, as well as in-house for private and public companies. Our ability to offer clients business focused, efficient and pragmatic advice is further consolidated by working alongside our colleagues in assurance, tax, transactions, and advisory services,” she added.

In early 2014, EY Law started expanding across the Asia Pacific region in China, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Korea and Vietnam.

Tran Dinh Cuong, EY Vietnam’s country managing partner, said the launch of EY Law in Vietnam was built on his firm’s 22 years’ serving clients in investing and doing business in the country.

All the Big Four – Deloitte, EY, KPMG and PwC – now provide legal services in Vietnam.
