Experts discuss safety Vietnam’s first nuclear power plant

An international seminar, was held in Hanoi on October 19, looking in-depth into how to ensure safety for Vietnam’s first nuclear power plant.

Participants to the seminar, jointly organised by the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology and Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, agreed that top priority for countries which want to develop nuclear energy is to ensure safety, especially after the incident at the Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan .

The Japanese side presented its survey and assessment on the location of Ninh Thuan 2 nuclear power plant with the aim of ensuring the highest safety for the project.
