SINGAPORE: David Beckham’s eldest son, Brooklyn, has reportedly signed a short-term contract with the Gunners, according to UK newspaper Daily Star on Sunday (Nov 9).

An unnamed source from the north London club told the Daily Star of the 15-year-old’s signing: “Arsenal realise he can be a huge talent. They have seen that potential and protected their asset. The club has signed him, fending off interest from Manchester United and Chelsea in the meantime."

“David has a good relationship with manager Arsene Wenger. The Beckhams have a strong link with Arsenal despite David’s Manchester United past,” the source added in the report.

However, a spokesman for Arsenal said in the Daily Star report: "If Brooklyn has signed a contract with us, it would be unusual for us to comment."

Beckham’s younger sons – Romeo and Cruz – are also training with the Arsenal’s U13s and U10s, according to the report.
