AIA Vietnam is busy insuring its success

AIA Vietnam Life Insurance continues to focus on building its Premier Agent force to grab a bigger slice of the market.

AIA Vietnam CEO Stephen Clark, said AIA Vietnam’s agency force investment focused not only on recruiting but also improving their skills.

“Towards the professional agency team in AIA, especially Premier Agents, the company will provide opportunities, development strategies and the best support system. AIA always has the best compensation scheme and training programmes to help our agents develop their career,” Clark said.

Phung Dac Loc, general secretary of the Association of Vietnamese Insurers, said: “To improve the quality of agents, insurance companies need to quickly provide training on what agents still lack. AIA Vietnam’s strategy to give priority in developing Premier Agents will be very good if it is done properly.

I expect this will be a model for the development of the agency force in the insurance industry.” By the end of October 2012, AIA Vietnam had nearly 1,000 Premier Agents and this number is expected to dramatically increase soon.

At AIA Vietnam, investment to develop a truly professional agency force is the key strategy to accomplish the goal of becoming the preferred life insurer in the market.

“We are always looking for ways to enhance the quality of the agency team by attracting and retaining appropriate candidates. We believe that the decision to invest heavily in agency quality will change people’s perception of insurance as well as the insurance profession,” Clark said.

According to insurance experts, insurance premiums, professionalism, quality of customer service and extensive knowledge about the insurance industry are standards for an insurance agent to achieve success. The highest achievement of insurance agents is to be recognised as a member of MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table Club). Globally, AIA is among the top four insurance groups having the largest number of MDRT members.
