Vietravel Airlines: a desire to fly high

The airline was officially launched in December 2020 after the constant efforts of the Board of Directors and the rest of the team.

It involved preparing human resources, applying for an air transport business licence, completing the fleet and taking off commercial flights in the Vietnamese skies.

Born at a time when Vietnam and the world were dealing with the pandemic, the aviation industry was in hibernation, and the tourism industry was closed, Vietravel Airlines has become a “wing against the wind” determined to weather the storm and fulfil its mission.

The company proved its maturity and self-belief so that on December 6, 2021, the airline was officially back in the sky.

As the fifth commercial airline in Vietnam, Vietravel Airlines carries out the mission of connecting people with people, destinations, and cultural values. After nearly two years of operation, Vietravel Airlines has affirmed its maturity with prestigious awards such as Asia's Leading New Airline 2022 from the World Travel Awards, World’s Best Leisure Airline 2022 voted by SkyTrax organisation, and Inspirational Brand Award 2022 from the Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards.

On the journey to discover national beauty, Vietravel Airlines has so far connected Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi with major tourism centres such as Danang, Phu Quoc, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, Da Lat, and Buon Ma Thuot, with all flights ensuring absolute safety and always in the top three Vietnamese airlines with the highest on-time performance in the industry.

In December 2022, Vietravel Airlines officially broke into the global market with the first flight from Hanoi to Bangkok (Thailand). The airline is working with authorities to expand its wings to Busan and Incheon (Korea), Singapore, and Taipei (Taiwan) in the following year.
