The second time entering the chart, Pfizer has significantly advanced its position to the top 7 compared with the 52nd ranking in 2020. This achievement was gained after an independent evaluation process, voted by experienced workforce to ensure the key factors of compensation and benefits; leadership development opportunities; workplace culture and environment; healthcare and work-life balance for employees.

Top 100 Best Workplaces in Vietnam is a creditable ranking measuring attractiveness in employer branding. The awards were founded by Anphabe, the online network of professional community, and market research company Intage in 2013.

Pullicino John Paul, general director at Pfizer Vietnam, said: "How we advanced our ranking in the Top 100 Vietnam Best Places to Work reflects the focus of our purpose-driven culture and the flexibility of our HR strategy during the pandemic.”

“We are striving to prioritise our colleagues' work-life balance, encouraging new and empowering, flexible ways of working. In recent times, as we work towards the 'new normal', Pfizer is committed to implementing creative HR strategies, such as a new programme called 'Log in for Your Day', which allows staff to decide whether they should be in the office or work remotely. We aspire to unleash the power of our people, creating a positive and empowering culture and environment to support each employee on their career journey," he added.

“Breakthroughs that change patients’ lives” is the essential purpose and the major priority at Pfizer Vietnam. Pfizer formulated the four critical values underpinning its culture: Courage, Excellence, Equity, and Joy. To accompany the preceding purposes and values, Pfizer Vietnam strives to ensure all colleagues reach their full capabilities by unleashing the power of their people, which creates Pfizer's attractiveness in employer branding and is also of great interest to potential talent.

The benefits that come from working at Pfizer can be split into three categories: Functional – giving employees what they need; Collective – what the company stands for as an employer; or Personal – what an employee wants. As a result, we can now see Pfizer's exceptional contributions to progressing and manufacturing life-saving medications in general, including the development of medical solutions for the pandemic – the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines – in particular.

2021 is the time when businesses and employers around the world have to withstand the considerable challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. To immediately adapt, Pfizer flexibly adjusts its HR strategy, from pivoting to remote work using digital tools to publishing new healthcare policies for all the staff. Pfizer is one of the first companies to allow its workforce to work from home right after the pandemic outbreak.

Even before COVID-19, the company also diminishes unnecessary meetings and emails to reduce pressure on working, increase simplicity, and enable staff to focus more on priority work.

A great place to work means a great working environment while leveraging the company's large-scale resources and capabilities. Pfizer Vietnam welcomes all talent who aspire to our purpose and encourages employees to become agents of individual and collective career advancement.
