MTA Hanoi 2022 conveys a series of seminars about smart manufacturing, printing, and digital technology that was led by top experts over three days and three seminars. The seminar was designed to be highly applicable by focusing on practical business issues. It provides the enterprises a comprehensive and insightful view of the Vietnam manufacturing industry to implement in specific situations.
"The exhibition is a bridge for manufacturers and distributors to exchange knowledge and experience and look for partners," said Dao Phan Long, chairman of VAMI. |
Dao Phan Long, chairman of the Vietnam Association of Mechanical Industry (VAMI) said, “The industrial revolution requires manufacturers to continuously upgrade technology and capacity. Thus, the exhibition is an opportunity for domestic manufacturers to approach the modern technology of the mechanical industry to improve their capacity.”
Long added, “Besides this, it is a bridge for manufacturers and distributors to exchange knowledge and experience and look for partners.”
According to preliminary forecasts, the total mechanical market demand of Vietnam up to 2030 might reach more than $300 billion. There are 25,000 mechanical enterprises in operation, accounting for nearly 30 per cent of the total manufacturing and processing industry enterprises in Vietnam.
However, Vietnam's mechanical industry only meets about one-third of the domestic mechanical product demand, so the market and potential opportunities are promising.
"The application of smart manufacturing to production lines in mechanical engineering enterprises in Vietnam will help factories significantly improve production capacity, which is considered a top benefit and the most obvious of any factory when applying automation and also a way to maximise work productivity. In addition, it can help businesses to achieve sustainability with ancillary manufacturing methods, such as reducing inventory, energy consumption, and transportation requirements," Long said.
Room left for growth among domestic suppliers The construction of a smart factory by Samsung Electronics and the Ministry of Industry And Trade (MoIT) serves as an example of how large-scale companies can contribute to fostering the development of domestic supporting industries. |
