LG Electronics is expanding its Studio Series™ line of premium appliances as part of its commitment to help consumers achieve total efficiency by offering savings in time, energy and effort, according to a company’s statement in early January 2012.

LG’s new ultra-large capacity 3-door refrigerator comes with a unique door-in-door feature, a magnetically sealed section of one of the two refrigerator doors that provides quick access to the contents stored in the door bins.

Also added to the studio series line is LG’s built-in 42-inch side-by-side refrigerator, boasting the largest capacity of any refrigerator in its class at 26.5 cubic feet, and marking LG’s foray into the built-in refrigeration category.

This new refrigerator is the flagship of the LG studio series™ suite of high-end appliances that brings together refrigerators, ranges, wall ovens, warming drawers, cooktops, hoods, microwave ovens and dishwashers in an impressive package designed to make a bold statement in any home.

“More and more consumers have been seeking sophisticated designs and high performance features for their home appliances,” said president of Home Appliances, LG Electronics USA, Inc. Chris Jung. “Our new refrigerators meet these needs in terms of design and function as well as capacity,” he asserted.

Both new LG Studio Series™ refrigerators feature the largest capacities in their class and a host of smart organizational features that help consumers adapt the space to their own needs.

LG’s door-in-door refrigerator also makes freezer organization easier with a three-tier shelf system designed to store more commonly used items within close reach on the top two shelves and larger or less frequently accessed items tucked away at the bottom.

LG’s built-in refrigerator also comes with adjustable shelving and sliding door baskets, while multiple pull-out drawers allow for the utmost in customised organization, enabling consumers to quickly locate exactly what they need.

All studio series™ refrigerators are ENERGY STAR® qualified in recognition of their frugal energy usage. The refrigerators are built around LG’s linear compressor, one of LG’s four core technologies, which requires 17 per cent less energy compared to previous models with conventional compressors. With fewer moving parts and greater efficiency, the motor is also backed up by a 10-year warranty.

The new studio series™ refrigerators also come with LG’s proprietary smart diagnosis™ feature. This technology helps customer service representatives quickly and efficiently troubleshoot mechanical issues over the phone, thus limiting costly, inconvenient service calls and in-home visits.

LG Electronics, Inc. is a global leader and technology innovator in consumer electronics, mobile communications and home appliances, employing more than 93,000 people working in over 120 operations around the world.
