IndochinaLandis a Vietnam-focused fund manager and real estate developer, managing approximately $500 million in institutional capital.
The group is well-known for its urban residential developments, as well as its world renowned leisure resorts.
One of its most prominent developments, The Nam Hai, an all-villa resort near Hoi An, was recently recognised by Smart Travel Asia as the “No. 1 Best Leisure Hotel and Resort in Asia” in 2011.
This year, Indochina Land is completing construction of two new large-scale developments, Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa and Indochina Plaza Hanoi.
The Hyatt Regency Danang, which recently opened in mid-October, is a $130 million development comprised of 200 hotel rooms, 183 condominiums and 27 beachfront villas. Indochina Plaza Hanoi, the group’s premiere development in the capital city, is a $160 million urban mixed-use complex with 390 condominiums, a 18,000 sqm retail podium and an 11-story office tower.
The property is slated to begin handover to residential buyers as well as retail and office tenants starting in December.
“The most important recognition that we receive as developers comes from our buyers,” noted Ryder.
“Despite the challenges facing Vietnam’s real estate market, we continue to attract buyers to our residential for-sale properties and have noticed an uptick in demand from end-users,” he added.
He indicated that throughout the portfolio they had sold approximately $300 million in residential units, and in 2011 alone, Indochina Land’s year-to-date sales revenue has reached approximately $38 million, surpassing all the toughest competitors in the market.
