SINGAPORE: Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman, Chinese actress Fan Bing Bing and “Game of Thrones” star Peter Dinklage will be attending the Southeast Asia premiere of “X-Men: Days of Future Past” in Singapore on May 14 at Shaw Theatres Lido.
Jackman plays Wolverine, a mutant with deadly claws, while Fan plays the teleporting mutant Blink in the film.
Dinklage plays Bolivar Trask, the man responsible for the development of mutant-hunting robots called Sentinels in “X-Men: Days of Future Past”.
Fans will have the chance to get up close and personal with the trio at the event.
The other members of the film’s cast, including James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Omar Sy and Ellen Page will be visiting London (May 12), Moscow (May 13), Sao Paulo (May 15), Melbourne (May 16) and Beijing to promote the film after its global premiere in New York on May 10, though it is still unclear who will go where.
“Seriously, our fans are the best.
“You are all so passionate about our characters and the movies, it’s going to be great to be able to share the experience with so many of you,” said Jackman in a recent video clip announcing the cast’s publicity tour.
Directed by Bryan Singer, “X-Men: Days of Future Past” will be released in Singapore on May 22 and sees the X-Men, a group of heroic mutants, battle to ensure the survival of the species across two time periods.
They will have to join forces with their younger selves from the past to change a major historical event and save both mutants and humans from certain doom.
