Quang Nam has given three investors the green light to build five-star resorts in the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone.

The province is already firmly on the tourism map
The $37 million Cadasa resort, bankrolled by Cadasa Research and Application Information and Technology Joint Venture Co., will be developed on 37ha in Tam Hai commune.
Mai Doan Joint Venture Company will spend $50 million to build a 220-room complex, with a golf driving range, a sea entertainment area and other facilities on 50ha in Tam Tien commune.
Quoc Viet Software Joint Venture Company’s Quang Nam branch has earmarked $15 million to be spent building the 200-room Tam Tien resort on 15.5ha.
Nguyen Phuoc Thanh, head of Chu Lai Open Economic Zone management board, said that more investors are keen on tourism projects in the zone and most of them are interested in developing luxury services.
“Quang Nam is one of the central provinces that has great potential for the development of a prosperous tourism sector.
“The province has beautiful beaches and two world heritage sites including Hoi An ancient town and Cham towers at My Son,” said Nguyen Dinh Hai, chairman of the Quang Nam People’s Committee.
“Construction of three resorts will attract more domestic and foreign tourists to Quang Nam and resolve the current lack of luxury rooms in the province,” Hai said.
By late April, Quang Nam had attracted 37 investment projects with capital of around $271.78 million, excluding the three new big projects.
Other projects set to get off the ground in the province include an entertainment complex in Tam Hai commune, covering 600ha with planned investment of around $2-2.5 billion and a riverside villa project on 200-300ha costing some $500 million.
