125th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh celebrated

The Party Central Committee, State, Government, National Assembly, Viet Nam Fatherland Front and Ha Noi People’s Committee held a ceremony to celebrate the 125th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh on May 18 in Ha Noi.

Speaking at the ceremony, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong reviewed the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh, asserting that under the leadership of President Ho, Viet Nam’s revolution overcame numerous difficulties and challenges to succeed.

After nearly 30 years of renovation, Viet Nam has brought into full play the whole nation’s strength, accelerated comprehensively and synchronously the renovation work, developed the economy fast and sustainably, improved material and spiritual lives for people, defended independence, sovereignty and territory as well as increased the status of Viet Nam in the region and in the world.

He proposed the Party and all the people to uphold patriotism, solidarity and responsibility to weather difficulties and challenges in the nation building process.

The Party Chief highlighted the resilience and creativeness of the people, agencies, localities and economic sectors as the key factor in the national development.
