The forum was co-organised by The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) under the theme Global Green Race: From Strategy to Execution of Sustainable Business.

The forum included breakout and plenary sessions, which ran all day.

The special discussion session in the morning focused on the topic of accelerating nature-positive initiatives for a low-carbon economy.

In the second panel, enhancing business competitiveness through building a green supply chain, the speakers emphasised the importance of building a sustainable supply chain, from procuring input sources to ensuring the quality of products and adherence to business ethics.

At the plenary session in the afternoon, delegates heard seven presentations and a panel discussion, with topics focusing on redefining business success amidst the current global situation and orientations to develop the private sector and boost the green economy.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said, “To contribute to realising Vietnam's net-zero commitments, the implementation of sustainable solutions does not only apply to large companies but also to small- and medium-sized enterprises – the backbone of the economy.

Businesses need to study, apply, and practice sustainable development, including the Sustainable Business Index set by the VBCSD-VCCI, and promote the environmental, social, and governance agenda.”

“In addition, businesses need to contribute to the protection of nature and conservation of ecological diversity. They have to find more solutions for sustainable development while taking advantage of the achievements of Industry 4.0 to promote digital transformation,” the DPM said.

Organised for the first time in 2014, the VCSF is an effective dialogue platform for state management agencies, domestic and international partners, and the business community on orientations and sustainability practices.
