According to Nguyen Quoc Thap, deputy general director of PetroVietnam, this is the only specialised oil and gas event in Vietnam that brings together an international congregation of both upstream and downstream oil and gas companies as well as representatives of the domestic supporting industries.
The event will also showcase the latest developments in the global and domestic oil and gas industry.
With the theme of “PetroVietnam 40 Years Integration & Development”, the event will see the participation of more than 80 domestic and international oil and gas companies, hailing mainly from Southeast Asia, Europe, and Australia.
Outstanding partners will include large-scale companies, such as Rosneft, Gazprom, Zarubezhneft, Petronas, KNOC, Murphy Oil, SOCAR, JVPC, Yokogawa, Perenco, and many others. Holland and Singapore will open exclusive exhibition booths on separate areas.
“The show will also showcase PetroVietnam’s achievements over the last 40 years and give a glimpse into its future growth in the next 10 years. It will be an enriching experience going down memory lane and looking into the future to catch a glimpse of what will be in store for the Vietnamese oil and gas industry as whole,” said Thap.
Some of the highlights of the show are networking opportunities, refinery facility visits, conferences and seminars, a gala dinner and rekindling old friendships with industrial peers.
Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI) is the show’s strategic partner providing leadership in the area of conference. With VPI’s decades of vast experience in strategic and scientific research, the institute is a suitable organiser for a conference featuring the latest topics that are relevant to the industry’s growth and sustainability.
PetroVietnam Conference & Exhibition 2015 will provide thought-provoking ideas as the show design has taken into account new components, such as new oil field discovery, environmental protection, the alterations and competition on the/competitiveness of the global market, and deploying state-of-the-art equipment and techniques which will be showcased during the three-day exhibition and conference.
With nearly 40 years of operation and development, Vietnam's oil and gas industry has produced almost one billion barrels of crude oil and 300 billion cubic feet of natural gas, as well as attracted over $5billion in foreign capital for petroleum exploration and production.
