Letter of congratulations to all staff members in the planning and investment sector

Over the course of 70 years of construction and development, the planning and investment sector has surpassed mounting challenges for the successful accomplishment of tasks assigned by the party, the state, and the people, particularly in general consultancy work for the government in socio-economic development and state management. This has played an important role in stabilising the macro-economy according to set targets, ensuring a national balance, pushing up production and business, and making an active contribution to the national cause for industrialisation and modernisation.

As a result of your great achievements, the planning and investment sector was conferred the Gold Star Medal, the Ho Chi Minh Decoration, and many other prestigious honours.

Regional and global fortunes are forecast to proceed along a complex route over the foreseeable future, with advantages and disadvantages intermingling, putting mounting pressure on Vietnam’s economy. The onus on us to overcome such challenges is immense. In this context, the planning and investment sector needs to capitalise on its glorious tradition and achievements by striving to tackle limitations that might impede the successful completion of all assigned tasks. In addition, the sector must strive to improve consultancy quality when serving the government in the management of socio-economic development, enhance the efficiency of investment capital usage and management, and pursue sustainable development. Furthermore, administrative procedures should be simplified, thus bettering the investment and business climate for the benefit of all people and businesses.

I expect that through your responsible thinking, solidarity, efforts and creativity, all of you in the planning and investment sector will make greater contributions to the protection of the fatherland and the cause for national development.
