Themed “Social Innovation – Its Our Future Empowering Business and Society with Information”, the forum aims to showcase Hitachi’s Social Innovation Business in the global market.
Featuring conferences, seminars and exhibitions, Hitachi Group will introduce its advanced and cutting-edge business models, solutions, products, services and technologies in the fields of finance, industry, healthcare, transportation, water treatment and energy.

Hitachi aims to increase its overseas sales ratio from 45 per cent in 2013 fiscal year to over 50 per cent in 2015 fiscal year under its “2015 Mid-term Management Plan.”
Asia is one of the most important markets for the Hitachi Group, and the company is aiming to increase its revenue in Asia (excluding China) from 989.9 billion yen ($9.15 billion) in 2013 fiscal year to 1,290 billion yen ($11.9 billion) in 2015 fiscal year.
Hitachi is aggressively expanding its business and strengthening its business structure in Asia. For example, Hitachi established a regional headquarters for infrastructure systems business, and controlling base of engineering function for infrastructure systems business in Singapore, in April and October this year, respectively.
In addition, Hitachi Consulting Corporation acquired Singapore’s technology consulting company Stone Apple Solutions Pte. Ltd. in this month to accelerate its investment toward strengthening its business.

Through the Hitachi Innovation Forum 2014 Singapore, we would also like to take this opportunity to celebrate our 50th anniversary, and we look forward to many more 50 years of contributing to the Singapore society through our development of superior, original technology and products,” Saito said.
Hitachi Limited, headquartered in Tokyo, reported consolidated revenues for 2013 fiscal year (ended March 31, 2014) of 9,616 billion yen ($93.4 billion). Hitachi is focusing more than ever on the Social Innovation Business, which includes infrastructure systems, information & telecommunication systems, power systems, construction machinery, high functional materials & components, automotive systems, healthcare and others.
