General Motors Vietnam launches 2014 Chevrolet Cruze

The 2014 Chevrolet Cruze has added an array of safety features and technologies in line with the demands of active, confident and stylish car buyers. It is available in two trim levels: The 2014 Cruze LS is priced at VND560 million ($26,600) and the 2014 Cruze LTZ is priced at VND672 million ($32,000) (VAT included).

The 2014 Cruze LTZ comes with halogen headlamps, a four-way adjustable steering wheel, rear parking sensors, automatic air conditioning, a smart key and theft deterrent.

It also comes with sporty 17-inch aluminum wheels and 215-mm tires that enable the car to quickly accelerate while maintaining high levels of traction, safety and handling. 

The cruise control system in the 2014 Cruze LTZ automatically controls the throttle-accelerator pedal linkage so that the car maintains the set speed – even when going uphill or downhill –without the driver having to press the accelerator. Instead, the driver can relax and focus on the road.

The 2014 Cruze LTZ is powered by a 1.8L push-start engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) that delivers optimal performance and efficiency. Advanced electric cooling helps maintain the engine’s temperature for worry-free operation. The engine is mated with a six-speed automatic transmission.

The 2014 Cruze LS has a six-speaker stereo system with steering wheel audio controls, automatic air conditioning and headlamps, an anti-theft system and rear parking sensors.

Other outstanding features include a four-way adjustable steering wheel and a rear seat that can be folded down 90 degrees to significantly increase the capacity of the trunk.

The model is also equipped with disc brakes and anti-lock brakes (ABS). The disc brakes maximise braking efficiency and are easier to maintain than other brakes. ABS helps reduce braking distance, prevent wheel lock-up during emergency braking and avoid obstacles on the road. It also supports the smooth ride.

A six-way power adjustable driver’s seat is a new feature in both trim levels, ensuring a comfortable driving experience even over longer distances. Its wheelbase of 2,685mm allows for a surprisingly spacious interior, even for those riding in back.

With segment-leading fuel capacity of 60 litres and ground clearance of 160mm, the 2014 Cruze can handle long drives and unstable driving conditions.

The 2014 Cruze is the only car in its class with a rearview mirror dryer, which improves vision during rainy or wet weather. In addition, the outer mirror is integrated with turn signals to make it easier to change lanes and direction.
