AIA Vietnam continues to invest in Premier Agency team

With the in-depth development strategy and the vision of becoming the preferred life insurer in Vietnam, AIA (Vietnam) Life Insurance continues to focus on building the Premier Agency force.

Premier Agency is a long-term strategy not only for AIA Vietnam but also in all AIA’s operations across the region.

Stephen Clark, CEO of AIA Vietnam said AIA Vietnam’s investment in the agency force focused not only on recruiting but also improved their skills. With this direction, AIA Vietnam continues to grow the number of Premier Agents and thereby improve the quality of the entire agency force.

"Towards the professional agency team in AIA, especially Premier Agents, the company will provide opportunities, development strategies and the best support system. AIA always has the best compensation scheme and training programs to help agents develop their career," Stephen Clark said.

Commenting on AIA Vietnam’s determination, Phung Dac Loc, general secretary of the Association of Vietnam Insurance, said: "To improve the quality of agents, insurance companies need to quickly provide training on what agents still lack of. AIA Vietnam’s strategy to give priority in developing Premier Agents will be very good if it is done properly. I expect this will be a model for the development of the agency force in the insurance industry.”

By the end of October 2012, AIA Vietnam had nearly 1,000 Premier Agents and this number is expected to dramatically increase in the coming time. At AIA Vietnam, investment to develop a truly professional agency force is the key strategy to accomplish the goal of becoming the preferred life insurer in the market.

According to insurance experts, insurance premium, professionalism, quality of customer service and extensive knowledge about the insurance industry are standards for an insurance agent to achieve success, but the highest achievement of insurance agents is to be recognised as a member of MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table Club). Globally, AIA group is among the top four insurance groups having the largest number of MDRT.
