The move is aimed at further reinforcing the bank’s image and reputation in the southern market. In late August Techcombank opened its new headquarters on Ba Trieu Street in Hanoi.

These moves were in-line with the bank’s vision to be the “best bank in Vietnam”.

The new office is a large office and transaction centre that was designed to improve the staff’s production and teamwork.

It is also a convenient location for Techcombank to provide its many southern customers with the best, high-class services; thus upholding the company’s motto Customers First.

The new office has 28 floors and can accommodate a staff of up to 1,000.

At the launching ceremony, the bank’s chairman Ho Hung Anh said, “Establishing our office at the heart of this city shows our determination to be a leader in the southern market. Our new office and trusted products and services will help this become the most trusted financial address in the country, for individual and corporate customers, as well as for other financial institutions.”

Founded in 1993, Techcombank started out with only $950,000 and since has become a leading bank in Vietnam.

As of the end of last year, the bank’s assets totalled $8.6 billion and its chartered capital had risen to $421 million.

With over 7,000 employees including several international managers and board members and a network of 316 branches, Techcombank serves 2.8 million individual customers and 50,000 corporate clients.
