Taiwan Machine Tool Product Launch was a resounding success on the first day of the 14th International Precision Engineering, Machine Tools and Metalworking Exhibition and Conference (MTA Vietnam 2016) on July 5 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Taiwanese Vice Minister of Economic Affairs Yang Wei-Fuu delivered the opening speech for the product launch. Yang asserted that the machine tool industry was one of the most competitive industries in Taiwan. The event aims to create further collaboration and new opportunities.

Wang, accompanied by director general and director of the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City Liang Kuang-Chung and Feng Tze-Ling as well as director of the Taiwan Trade Center’s representative office in Ho Chi Minh City Tang Ming Hui, not only paid a visit to the exhibitors in the Taiwanese pavilion at the exhibition centre but also gave his words of support.

Four companies, namely Awea, Hosea, Hannsa, and City Tools, displayed their products at the launch. They also explained the current state and new technologies of Taiwanese machine tools.

Awea 5 Axis Service machine centre can be applied in Industry 4.0 and has many advantages in the automobile sector. Hosea’s CNC rotary table boasts high precision and easy use.

Hannsa’s CNC lathe and machine centre has a solid reputation in Vietnam. Presenting in Vietnamese at the product launch also proved Hannsa’s ambition to expand in the local market. City Tools, as an up-stream manufacturer specialising in Endmills, launched a series of sophisticated Solid Carbide Endmills. These products are applicable in a wide range of industries.

During the product launch, Taiwanese national B2B online platform Taiwantrade held a demonstration of its special Vietnamese edition particularly set up for the market, allowing local buyers to match with Taiwanese brands. 929 companies and 5,017 product catalogues related to the machine tool industry are now available for Vietnamese buyers. This will bring potential customers to Taiwanese machine tool companies.

The product launch and the exhibition have successfully drawn the local media and buyers’ attention. It is believed that business will thrive on the growth of the Vietnamese economy.
