According to a statement released by the company, the new search engine has the unique capability to search multiple countries around the Asia-Pacific region and is fully supported in five key Asian languages.
Chris Marriott, CEO of Savills South East Asia, said Savills’ plan was to provide customers with a full search capability, content rich and loaded with residential market research. “We saw the need to support our brokers and their clients with the ability to distribute their properties to a broad regional buying audience in their language of choice,” Marriott said.
“Simply put, we want our customers to experience a truly international residential service, supported by self help functions and in-depth research, even before they pick up a phone to make an enquiry,” he added.
This is a living search engine and already includes a Vietnamese language function and a focus on specialist areas of residential properties. Viewers will soon be able to search new project launches, high-end prestige homes, international properties, serviced apartments and resorts.
Avi Raju, IT director of Asia-Pacific, said that whilst search engines have been in use for many years this is the first time a residential agency had taken a commercial view on cross-selling projects and properties across a single unified multi-lingual platform.
“This can only be achieved with a wholly-owned agency platform, which enables us to coordinate our efforts from the management of the content on the site through to supporting our grassroots broker,” Raju said.
