With the over $215.000, that SABECO has just handed over to the Vietnam Administration of Sports under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MoCST) on October 6, selected talented athletes will receive monthly financial support and funds for purchasing sports equipment for Archery and Badminton athletes.
This is a continuation of the Vietnam Wins Gold community programme announced by the MoCST in May.

Hoang Dao Cuong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism also sent a message to the 50 talented athletes selected to receive support from the Vietnam Wins Gold initiative. "These people are the most elite, outstanding, and exemplary athletes of Vietnam. The sky is your limit and your future abounds with opportunities as well as challenges. I hope that you can keep up the strong spirit and determination to compete for the colours of Vietnam to achieve even greater results that will make concrete contributions to Vietnam’s sports,” he said.
Nguyen Thi Oanh, who has been named one of the stars of the SEA Games 31 after making a gold hat trick after two days into the competition told VIR that “This funding is really helping my journey both materially and mentally to lighten the upcoming competition journey.”
On May 14, Oanh won the women's 1,500- and 5,000-metre races. The next day, she also reached first place in the women's 3,000-meter hurdles with a time of 9 minutes, 46 seconds, breaking her previous mark.
Sports have played an indispensable part in Vietnam’s development and reached many records in the region for years, however infrastructure facilities for athletes are still weak.
This is not the first time SABECO has supported sporting ambitions and nurtured the spirit of devotion in Vietnam. The company supports the needs of athletes in order to support and build its position in Vietnam in the international arena.
