This move followed the recent appointment of Robert Marsh as chief growth officer, across the Lowe network who said: “Growth is key to any network and in line with Lowe's strength of local market expertise, Mehta was a natural call. He has a tremendous wealth of regional expertise.
Coupled with his proven success in running and growing the Vietnam agency to the largest in the county, he is the right person for this role”.
Commenting on the appointment, Rupen Desai, Lowe Asia-Pacific president said: “We want to inculcate a strong sense of positive dissatisfaction in the pace at which we grow. Mehta is the right person for this.
Apart from him being a result-oriented man, his track record, whether it be in making Lowe Vietnam one of the most awarded agencies for effectiveness across the region, or in leading Lowe Vietnam to be the most creative agency in Vietnam makes him most suited to lead our growth agenda across the region”.
On Mehta’s watch, Lowe Vietnam now manages more than 50 leading brands across clients such as Unilever, Nestle, Johnson & Johnson, Vinamilk, Total Lubricants, Pernod Ricard, Intel and Cathay Pacific. His teams are credited with building the agency's capabilities outside broadcast media and creating milestone integrated campaigns.
Prior to joining Lowe in 2006, Vikas worked at Publicis and Leo Burnett and has been behind numerous success stories for clients like Procter & Gamble, Heinz, Diageo, IndianOil, The Indian Army, Coca-Cola and Idea Cellular among others.
On his promotion, Mehta said that it was an opportunity to drive growth from Asia seems was obviously an exciting opportunity. Hence, it would be a part of its agenda to partner a largest amount of global brands in its endeavor.
