“Extraordinary resort properties should be identified by a name and brand that reflect their quality, stature and uniqueness. After a long discussion process with stakeholders, branding experts and all departments within our organisation, we found ourselves coming full circle - all the way back to the first name that was put on the table: The Grand," said John Webb, The Grand – Ho Tram Strip’s vice president of Hospitality."We looked at adjectives in every language you care to imagine, but when we stepped back and focused on the property, it is ultimately a Grand development, and so we are thrilled to announce that that is exactly what it will be known as."
The property, which includes 541 rooms, extensive entertainment space, and one of the largest function centers in Vietnam, was to have operated under another international brand and operator, however with the dissolution of that management contract, the owners will instead manage the property under The Grand - Ho Tram Strip name, with its 2,000-strong team recruited and trained under the direction of MGM Resorts International.
"We could not be more excited," said Ho Tram Project Company general director Colin Pine. "We have a superb team on site who are absolutely raring to go, and cannot wait to pin their new 'The Grand - Ho Tram Strip' name badges on to their shirts and start welcoming guests in just over a month to the most exciting development Vietnam's hospitality industry has ever seen."
The first phase of The Grand - Ho Tram Strip includes 541 five star rooms, gaming facilities, meeting and convention space, ten bars and restaurants, a spa, teen’s and children’s areas, three swimming pools and luxury retail shops. HTP also announced in October 2012 that it had broken ground on the second phase of The Grand - Ho Tram Strip, which will include a second tower of 559 rooms and additional leisure facilities.
The Bluffs – the Ho Tram Strip’s Greg Norman designed championship golf course - is under construction with Norman himself recently proclaiming it one of the top three courses he had ever been involved with, anywhere in the world.
The Grand - Ho Tram Strip is two hours away from Vietnam's largest metropolis, Ho Chi Minh City, and in its entirety includes The Grand, another similar sized integrated resort to be operated by Pinnacle Entertainment Group, three other five star resorts and The Bluffs Championship Golf Course, all set on a 2.2 kilometer beach surrounded by protected forest.
HTP is a wholly owned subsidiary of Asian Coast Development (Canada) Ltd, the developer of the Ho Tram Strip.
