Pou Chen Vietnam highlighted social responsibility

Pou Chen Group redeems its promise initiative to provide company's workers with high quality early childhood education for their children while they work.

Green World Kindergarten located in Pou Chen industrial compound at the province’s Hoa An ward, has a capacity to accommodate and teach up to 500 children aged from two to five years old.

“I’m proud to declare the opening of Green World Kindergarten, the latest effort of Pou Chen Group to contribute to the lives of our employees as well as to the community in Dong Nai,” said Carry Chang, vice president, Pou Chen Group.

Headquartered in Taiwan, Pou Chen is one of the world’s leading footwear suppliers. It manufactures for many global brands such as Nike, Adidas, Asics, Clarks, Reebok, Puma, New Balance, Crocs, Merrell, Timberland, Converse and Salomon all of which impose very strict requirements on suppliers.

The kindergarten's operation will be under cooperative management of both Pou Chen and Dong Nai Xanh Company, a local leading educational management service provider, in which they will help facilitate the harmonious development of children in all aspects such as study skills, knowledge, physical capability, motor skills, language, social communication, social emotion, creativity, and life skills.

The kindergarten is also designed under a Green Certification System called Lotus. Under Lotus, Pou Chen commits to promote a sustainable and adaptive education environment for employees’ next generation.

“The core of any school is the knowledge to be delivered to the students, in which the facilities are just the tools to make that happen. We have put in even more effort to make sure the children going to Green World Kindergarten get the best curriculum and taught by the best teachers possible, ones that meet and exceed all the requirements set out by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam,” affirmed Peter Tsai, deputy director, Sustainable Development,  Pou Chen Group.
