Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has issued Decision No.1447/QD-TTg on establishing a special working group to support him in addressing the difficulties of businesses and people due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The special working group is led by Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai and is supported by dozens of ministries and agencies. Deputy heads include Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung (permanent deputy head), Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phuoc, as well as Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung.

Members consist of leaders of relevant ministries and agencies like the Government Office, State Bank of Vietnam, and Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises.

The group will assist the government and the PM in directing and coordinating the settlement of important issues. It is tasked with actively exploring and summarising the difficulties and obstacles facing businesses and people, and proposing solutions to the PM to deal with important and urgent matters of inter-regional and inter-sectoral significance, thus settling the problems in time.

At the same time, the group will support the PM in directing and coordinating the operations of ministries, sectors and localities in addressing these issues, while providing advisory on related measures. It is also assigned with helping the PM supervise and speed up the resolution of problems.

The group will report to the PM on a monthly and quarterly basis or when requested showing outcomes and progress of the implementation of its tasks.
