Three students were selected from over 40 students from 15 universities nationwide who applied for the 2012 Panasonic Master Scholarship during 2011.
The awarded students will start their course in March next year at top universities in Japan for three years after spending four months in Vietnam learning Japanese.
Shinichi Wakita, general director of Panasonic Vietnam said: “Panasonic Scholarship Programme provides students from Asian countries with opportunities to study in Japan, enable them to contribute to the development of their home countries.”
“Another purpose of the programme is to enhance the cooperative relations between Japan and other Asian countries.”
The Panasonic Scholarship Programme in Vietnam started in 2003. Up to 2011 the scholarships have been granted to 22 outstanding Vietnamese students. Ten of them have completed Master courses.
