New VBA to champion business

The association (VBA) will be administered by the Ministry of Planning and Investment and encompass all entrepreneurs working in Vietnam, along with Vietnamese doing business overseas.
The VBA will play the role of connecting the entrepreneurs with the government, in which it will help submitting the entrepreneurs’ suggestions to policy-makers in drafting out economic policies.
Also, the VBA will cooperate with the other local and overseas economic institutions to help boost business activities in Vietnam. It comes amid a strong growth of Vietnam’s entrepreneurs, with about 600,000 enterprises operating in Vietnam. The figure has soared within two years from some 400,000 in 2009.
The VBA’s first meeting will take place in late December.
