Maybank Kim Eng appoints new regional management team

Maybank Kim Eng has announced two key appointments to its regional management team, representing a further step in the organisation’s strategy in becoming a leading regional financial powerhouse by 2015.

Prasenjit Kumar Basu

Giles Ong will join as head of Investment Banking and Advisory and Prasenjit Kumar Basu (PK Basu) as regional head of Research and Economics.

Ong will develop and oversee strategies and plans aimed at building Maybank Kim Eng’s global investment banking and advisory business. These businesses include corporate finance, debt markets, equity capital markets and strategic advisory.

Basu will oversee the regional research and economics function for Maybank Kim Eng and will be responsible for leading research teams in providing high-quality research.
