Masimo donates pulse oximeters to Vietnam’s hospitals

Masimo Corporation, a US-based global medical technology company today officially handed over 105 pulse oximeters to East Meet West Foundation’s Breath of Life programme.

Valued at more than $160,000, the oximeters will be provided to 95 hospitals in Vietnam to support their neonatal intensive care units.

190 doctors and nurses from 95 hospitals that will receive Masimo’s pulse oximeters will also be trained in the use of oxygen in treating newborn pathologies, oxygen toxicity and oxygen management thank to the support of Masimo Vietnam distributor, Charles Wembley Co. Ltd.

The 105 new-brand pulse oximeters, the best currently available on the international market for intensive newborn care, are expected to benefit at least 30,000 newborn babies in Vietnam every year.
