The importance of scientific research was underscored by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan in a meeting with scientific research taking the agenda as follows “Scientific research not only helps ameliorate training quality but also gives birth to new products and services of practical values to life.”
However, a number of problems persist relevant to scientific research activities of Vietnamese students.
Ministry of Education and Training figures show that there are more than 2.2 million students taking courses at colleges and universities across the country. However, few followed scientific studies.
Thereby, the demand to have in place a playground to encourage and enable students to approach latest sources of information about scientific research has become imperative.
LG Electronic Vietnam came up with ‘Olympia earmarked to higher education students’ programme with a view to walking in step with Vietnam’s education sector in sourcing young talents for quality human resources development, laying foundation for bringing scientific studies of practical values into practice.
With 13-year track record in funding ‘Road to the Peak of Olympia’ catered to secondary school students which appears weekly on Sunday in VTV3 channel, LG Electronics Vietnam expects ‘Olympia for higher education students’ programme will entail success like ‘Road to the Peak of Olympia’ with extended scale across the country.
