SEOUL: "G.I. Joe" star, Korean actor Lee Byung-hun, is set to appear in “Terminator: Genesis”, which will reboot the “Terminator” film franchise, reported Korean media.
Lee’s management agency did not give any details about the character he will play in the film, but said that it will be “an important” one.
“Terminator: Genesis” will also star the original ‘Terminator’ Arnold Schwarzenegger, J.K. Simmons of “The Closer”, “Game of Thrones” actress Emilia Clarke, and “The Hunger Games” actor Dayo Okeniyi.
The film will be helmed by “Thor: The Dark World” director Alan Taylor, who had previously worked on “Game of Thrones” as well as “The Sopranos”.
“Terminator: Genesis” is expected to go into production sometime in May, and released next year.
