Covering an area of 3,500 sq.m. at Song Than Industrial Park in the southern province of Binh Duong, about 25 km from Ho Chi Minh City, the $18 million centre has 10,000 sq.m of space capable of accommodating 40,000 servers.

The Tier-3 standard centre has two power sources and eight reserve electricity generators and is equipped with advanced facilities, including an air conditioning system which can stabilise both temperature and humidity for optimum operation of servers, a professional fire alarm system, and a modern management room.

The centre will provide collocation services for government agencies, ministries and branches, banks, securities, insurance, communication and telecom companies, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises, helping them to save time and spending in preserving and restoring data.

Viettel IDC now boasts 500 large organisations and business customers and the group has two smaller data centres in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
