Landor Associates comes to Vietnam

Charles Wrench, chief executive officer for Landor Worldwide, said that Landor had been watching the market in Vietnam for some years, and the company believes the moment is the right time for Landor to have a dedicated team focusing on the country to address the critical need for high quality corporate branding, packaging design, and other strategic creative services.

“At this time we believe a critical-mass of companies in Vietnam are ready for the rigor and investment typically required by Landor when we partner with clients, so we’ve decided to set up a strong team in Hanoi with representation in Ho Chi Minh City to service such companies,” said Monica Au, managing director for Landor Hong Kong.

He added that the company aimed to revitalise existing brands, create new Vietnamese brands, and execute localised versions of international brands to achieve a new level of relevance and differentiation that, to date, companies had yet fully explored.

“We are here to help develop the brand strength and stature necessary for companies to sustain competitiveness in the face of intense activity amongst international contenders”, said Au.

Landor Associates has announced its first joint-name venture to do brand development becoming a famous retail brand in Vietnam, the name of which is under wraps at the client’s request.

Landor built many famous brands such as BP, Levis, Singapore Airline, Hilton and GE globally in the last few decades.
