The survey was conducted by market research provider Business Development Research Consultant (BDRC) Continental via 30-minute online interviews with more than 7,500 guests of chain and rated stars hotels in the last 12 month for business and leisure reasons.
In its Asia Pacific 2012 Guest Survey, published in late February, BDRC reported Hilton ranked number one in separate markets of Australia and Japan, while number two in China, Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.
It also cited Hilton Garden Inn as the mid-market full-service brand with overall notable improvement over the year.
The 1st-ever Hilton Garden Inn in South East Asia is opening in April 2013 in Hanoi.
Hilton loyalty program HHonors still work very well to rank 1st for awareness and 60 per cent of the guests’ rate it as an excellent program.
