The event – organised by the Hanoi Promotion Agency in tandem with Nghe An Centre for Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion – gathered leaders of diverse departments and agencies of Hanoi and Nghe An as well as representatives from diverse promotion centres of provinces and cities, foreign organisations and enterprises, among others.
The event, covering about 1,500sq.m, featured nearly 80 booths presenting distinct products, including handicrafts, gifts, food, and more.

By presenting carefully selected products, the two localities want to initiate an annual programme helping to strengthen the mutual connection and present each other's products, including One Commune, One Product (OCOP) items made by local traditional craft villages and local tourism attractions.
The event, running from June 9 to 12, took place on Ho Tung Mau pedestrian street in Vinh city, Nghe An.
Addressing the event’s launching ceremony on June 10, Le Hong Vinh, deputy chairman of Nghe An People’s Committee, noted that the event connecting the two localities aims to not only promote the potential advantages and images of Hanoi and Nghe An but also of other localities in the country; simultaneously fostering cooperation, investment, trade, tourism, and agriculture promotion.
The Nghe An leader praised the initiative on jointly organising the promotion week, as well as the active participation of units and businesses in Hanoi.
At the conference, participants were introduced to the overall socioeconomic situation and investment environment of Hanoi and Nghe An. This was also an opportunity for businesses from the two localities to boost partnerships in key and potential areas.
Participants also made proposals on support plans to introduce Nghe An's investment environment to businesses from other countries such as the Republic of Korea. They suggested solutions to strengthen connections and trade between localities as well as develop OCOP and trade village products in association with tourism activities.

The event is part of the cooperative programme between Hanoi and diverse localities nationwide, under which the capital city has come up with many cooperative programmes and signed MoUs with many localities.
According to figures from the coordinating office for building new-style rural areas in Hanoi, since 2019 – when the programme was first introduced – the city has been home to nearly 1,650 certified OCOP products, while the figure for Nghe An reached nearly 250 products.
In the past years, the cooperation between Nghe An province and Hanoi in general, and cooperation in the field of investment promotion, trade and tourism in particular, has achieved many comprehensive results, contributing to promote socioeconomic development, and bringing into play the strengths of each locality.
These achievements are not only the efforts of the authorities and people of the two localities but also recognise the cooperation to overcome difficulties and relentless dedication of the business community operating in the field of investment, trade and tourism coming from the two localities.
