GM Vietnam introduces Chevrolet Spark Taxi

“The Spark Taxi was specifically designed to carry people,” said GM Vietnam managing director Gaurav Gupta. “Significant investment and research were put into the model, from major parts such as the chassis to minor ones such as the rear windshield wipers. We expect the Spark Taxi to receive a warm welcome in the domestic market.”

Optimal safety for drivers and passengers is the top priority of Chevrolet. That’s why the Spark Taxi leads its segment in terms of safety features. The Spark Taxi rides on an H-shaped structure made of high-strength steel that maximises protection against high-speed collisions. Other advanced safety features include two front air bags and three-point seat belts for all seats.

The comfortable interior in the Spark Taxi includes a streamlined design that proves that less can be more. Boasting the largest height in its segment, the Spark Taxi has ample headroom with a good view of the road ahead for all occupants.

The entertainment system has four speakers, a built-in radio (AM/FM) and AUX ports (iPod), allowing the driver to listen to music or enjoy favorite radio shows during the journey. The back seats can be folded down 90 degrees to create up to 170 litres of luggage space.

Developed for city streets, the Spark Taxi has a tight turning radius of only five metres. This makes it easier than ever to make a U-turn even on narrow roads.

The Spark Taxi offers not only the most competitive price in the small taxi segment at VND309 million ($15,000) for orders of 10 cars and above (VND319 million for orders of 6-9 cars and VND329 million for orders of 1-5 cars)(VAT included) but also a low maintenance cost courtesy of its fuel-efficient 1.0L four-cylinder engine.

Customers have a choice of exterior colors (depending on the quantity ordered). They can also receive a minimum 20 per cent discount on spare parts and will receive their parts within 24 hours.
