The record month also capped Ford’s best-ever first quarter in Vietnam with overall sales rising 69 per cent from a year ago to 6,501 units.
Ford continued to be one of the fastest growing automotive brands in Vietnam this year, with the EcoSport, Ranger and Transit nameplates all maintaining leadership of their segments - Mini SUV, Pickup truck, and Van & Bus, respectively.
“Our lineup of global Ford vehicles is appealing to the diverse lifestyle and work requirements of our customers in Vietnam – particularly the quality, durability, safety and performance that each vehicle offers,” said Pham Van Dung, managing director of Ford Vietnam.
The popular Transit’s March retail sales rose by 53 per cent year-over-year to 586 units. First quarter sales of the Transit increased 70 per cent from a year ago to 1,746 units, as it continues to lead Vietnam’s commercial van and bus segment.

“Ranger sets the industry benchmark in the pickup truck segment for design, comfort and refinement, and its extraordinary versatility presents an ideal solution for construction, mining or agriculture enterprises, as well as recreational enjoyment,” explained Dung.
The sporty EcoSport compact SUV continued its strong performance this year with March sales rising 53 per cent year-over-year to 436 units, helping drive its year-to-date sales up 23 per cent to 1,106 units.
