Research In Motion (RIM), Blackberry’s owner, has launched the first BlackBerry by Smartcom Lifestyle Store in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the 123-square-metere store located in Vincom A shopping mall, customers not only have the opportunity to purchase their favourite BlackBerry smartphone from an authorised channel.

“The Vincom A shopping mall in Ho Chi Minh City is one of the prime shopping and entertainment locations within the city. It is the perfect place for consumers to truly experience the full range of BlackBerry devices and solutions,” said Benoit Nalin, director of Vietnam of RIM.

“With the introduction of this lifestyle store, customers will truly have peace of mind when purchasing authorised BlackBerry products and will also enjoy top notch service by trained BlackBerry personnel,” said Nalin.

At the same time, Research In Motion has launched the elite new Porsche Design P’9981 smartphone from BlackBerry in Vietnam to adapt the demand of high-ranking customers in Vietnam.

Instantly identifiable as a Porsche Design product, the exclusive material choices for this unique smartphone include a forged stainless steel frame, hand-wrapped leather back cover, sculpted QWERTY keyboard, and crystal clear touch display.

Juergen Gessler, CEO of the Porsche Design Group, said: “It is a representation of the iconic Porsche Design styling philosophy and RIM’s technology-driven focus, which combine to deliver engineered luxury and powered performance in a smartphone for the discerning consumer.”

The Porsche Design P’9981 smartphone from BlackBerry will be available at the newly launched BlackBerry by Smartcom Lifestyle Store and select authorised retailers.
