The company on December 15 held a seminar to review the technology ecosystem for the food and beverage (F&B) industry in Ho Chi Minh City. The seminar is aimed at introducing the latest technological solutions for restaurant and coffee shop operators to catch up with Industry 4.0 trends as well as improve customer experience.
According to James Duong Nguyen, the firm’s general director, the F&B market is in the early stages of the boom. The market holds tremendous potential for restaurant and catering investors thanks to the country’s large population and young demographic.
However, the fast-growing market has intensified competition in the restaurant business over the past few years. While several companies have run lucrative business, some new entrants withdrew from the market due to a lack of understanding about the industry and ineffective investment strategies, management process, and technology to serve customers.
Dcorp R-Keeper Vietnam was founded in 2007 to bring the R-Keeper brand to Vietnam. After 10 years of operation in Vietnam, Dcorp R-Keeper has been partnered with 2,000 large restaurant and hotel chains, including leading brands like Golden Gate, Red Sun, QSR, Wrap & Roll, NISO, and Hoang Yen Group.
In the briefing event on its technology ecosystem, Dcorp R-Keeper introduced some upcoming modules for its platform, which were developed by Dcorp R-Keeper itself or in collaboration with other partners.
Some new modules include food ordering with connected devices like tablets, cellphones, QR-code scan; convenient payment and receipt methods like mobile wallet payment and electronic receipts; omnichannel retail via website and e-commerce platforms as well as interaction and customer care with e-vouchers, e-coupons, loyalty customer applications and so on.
James Duong Nguyen noted that the entrance of large-scale companies in the F&B market has exerted strong pressure on the operations of restaurants and coffee shops in Vietnam. As a result, restaurant and catering operators have to find ways to optimise operations and cost, manage revenue tightly, and raise food quality. On top of that, they have to apply technology to improve customer experience, reduce ordering time and increase interaction with customers via mobile apps.
At the event, Dcorp R-Keeper also launched its marketplace for developers and technology companies to contribute apps and features to the R-Keeper POS system. The move is part of its plan to create a complete ecosystem for the restaurant, which will improve customer experience. Dcorp R-Keeper also stroke up deals with ZaloPay and VHT to bring the best payment solutions for restaurants and customers in Vietnam.
