Wooing investors is now a top priority for securities firms.

For example, Saigon-Hanoi Securities Joint Stock Company (SHS) offered fee bonuses for customers doing transactions at its newly opened Ho Chi Minh City branch office within two months.

Besides, in 2011 to retain investors, SHS would focus on ameliorating consultancy quality through launching daily online meetings connecting its headquarters with all branch offices to draw comprehensive market appraisals, said SHS general director Nguyen Quang Vinh.

As with Tan Viet Securities Incorporation (TVSI), in 2011 the company will inject more capital into innovating technology and expanding operational network to facilitate investor transactions.

TVSI recently opened a My Dinh branch office in Hanoi city’s Cau Giay district and donated gifts worth VND100 million ($5,000) in total to the first 100 customers registered for securities transactions with this new office.

To back its clients, from February 8, 2011 the VNDirect Securities Corporation’s (VNDirect) Ho Chi Minh City branch office came directly to customers’ houses or offices in the inner city to support them in opening transaction accounts and consultancy provision.

Securities Joint Stock Company (SMES) general director Pham Minh Tuan said this year the company sought to become a prestigious investment bank.

Alongside supporting customers in transaction fees, securities firms have embraced on innovating technologies to adapt themselves to swift market changes. They launched mobile-based securities transaction applications to benefit investors.

Software firms also joined the race through rolling into the market software packages such as MStock of Tamtay Group, StockonMobile of Bao Thach Software Company and iTrade of iTrade Corporation.

VNDirect lately launched MobiDirect 1.1 services which target securities investors interested in making transactions through mobiles. With the product, VNDirect customers can use their mobiles to place orders, keep track of investment portfolios or refer to cash and stock surpluses.

Technology intensive FPT Securities Joint Stock Company has launched the FPTS Mobile package which allows investors to place securities transaction orders via mobile phones as well as enjoy many other services.
