Colgate-Palmolive Vietnam signs “Bright Smiles, Bright Future” during 2012-2016

The “Bright Smile, Bright Future” is a global oral health education programme of Colgate for children, working in cooperation with many educational and dental organisations over the world.

In Vietnam, Colgate-Palmolive cooperates with Vietnam’s Ministry of Education, under the advisory of the National Dental Hospital in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to run this programme in kindergarten and primary schools.

Through this programme, more than 25.000 kindergartens and primary schools in the countries have received education tools and materials for oral health training. Each year, around 1.5 million first-grade students receive Colgate toothpastes and toothbrushes and more than 50,000 got free dental check-up. Additionally, the programme also had Doctor Rabbit to give dental lessons to 200,000 primary and kindergarten students nation-wide.

Besides educational activities for children, the programme also coordinated training to improve knowledge and practice oral health care for about 20,000 teachers and staffs in charge of the dental programmes at schools. Many extra-curricular activities have been carried out and attracted the participation of thousands of students and parents and the community.
